Born in Spain, Dr. Cristina Pino Villar holds a Bachelor's degree in Enology from the University of Extremadura and a degree in Agronomy from the University of Ávila. She earned her PhD in Enology from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master's degree in Viticulture from the University of Extremadura. With a focus on the wine industry, she has led pivotal projects in research and development in Spain, Mexico, and the USA, and has shared her expertise through teaching roles. Cristina has authored articles in prestigious scientific journals and has spoken at international conferences. Since 2011, she has been active in the Mexican wine industry, holding key positions in organizations such as PROVINO and the Mexican Wine Council. Additionally, she is a co-founder and winemaker in sparkling wine projects in the Valle de Guadalupe, including wine projects: 3para1 and Micha Micha, and collaborates with Llano Colorado on the Bixo wine made from Verdejo grapes.
