Rich Cook has been writing about wine since 2008. He currently serves as the Competition Director of Wine Cellar Productions’ Challenge Series of wine and spirits competitions and is the Director of the Monterey International Wine Competition.

Though his writing is mainly focused on domestic wines, Rich has traveled extensively in Italy and visited multiple producers in Argentina, Mexico, Portugal and South Africa. He judges at several major wine competitions and was a panelist with The California Grapevine, at the time the longest continuously published wine newsletter in the U.S. He also serves as a contributor and co-editor of SpiritsReviewOnline.com.
